Did you do a search online for common issues? Are you asking because you are looking to purchase a truck with an automatic? For a 27 year old truck, with a fair amount of miles, I would expect if the transmission was original, it is close to needing an overhauled.

I am looking at buying an F350 that just had a new transmission placed in it and was wondering if there were issues with the transmissions that year
