Transmission wont change gears

My 2002 trail blazer wont change
gear after i take off i have to
manually put it in 2 gear i put
transmission oil now its marking
tomuch oil

I would start with the shift solenoids sounds similar to the problem I had cheap semi easy diy if you don't mind a little transmission fluid bath
