I have a 2002 F150 supercrew with a 5.4L and it's 4x4. The
transmission had a bad pump and torgue converter. I was
told by the dealership that theyvdidnt have to pull the pan.
So they never replace the filter and now my pump is bad
again and I'm looking at having another pump and torgue
converter replaced. Should they have replaced the filter?

Pull the pan and see if it is clogged up with debris. If it is reasonably clean then that was not the problem.

I just had the filter replaced.... today.... it's still whining. The pump and torgue converter need to be replaced again.
