HELP... TRANS SWAP NEED OSS  ???? FROM VSS...
help i to had a 2002 f150 4r70w put 2004 4r704 was late model
the 2002 has a oss sensor with 6 holes for sensing  the 2004 has a vss sensor with 32 bars for sensing  the 2002 has the output shaft cut for the mechanical gear however the 2004 does not have the splines on the output shaft.... i can not change computer because totally different wire harness and i do not think the dash adjust will compensate as much

a 2004 to 2006 transmission in a 1998 to 2003 4r70w how to fix the speed sensor cheap. REDNECK STYLE go to hobby lobby buy a package of small round 1/2 inch flat magnets, and a tube of J/B weld measure the harmonic balancer on the drive shaft and mark 6 evenly spaced (close is good enough) dots on outer surface then JB weld a magnet on each dot smooth out JB around the magnet do a couple at a time to keep JB from running and dripping, then move sensor to just above the magnets it will still read at about 3/4 inch away from magnets, it woks great no problems and a cheap fix.
