whining only stepping on gas pedal

Asked by akita02005 Jun 06, 2018 at 07:05 PM about the 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 4WD

start up is fine,nice quite, 5.3L drives and shifts great at any speed. only issue
is the low whining noise while stepping on the accelerator. sitting at a light no
noise.

Check for leaks and check fluid levels in both differentials. My Jeep did that when fluid was low due to a wheel seal leak. I'm not sure. Just a guess.
