d light not lighting up when in gear

the d light for driving is not lighting up-all the other P,R,N,3,2,1 a little light under the
simbles light up except D  drive light- transmission is not shifting right-is this due to the
light under the D not coming on when in shifting into D

no codes or lights on dash board lighting up-transmission was just rebuilt 23 days ago

the d light for driving is not lighting up-all the other P,R,N,3,2,1 a little light under the simbles light up except D drive light- transmission is not shifting right- is this due to the light under the D not coming on when in shifting into D anyone else have an ideas??? on the issue- i as well believe the selector switch could be out of adjustment- when i bring it back were the transmission was rebuilt im scared they are going to say its something else and try to charge me
