Interchangeable Parts

I am needing to either change the starter or the
ignition in my 2003 Trailblazer. The parts are crazy
expensive so I needed to get parts elsewhere. Does
anyone know the interchangeable years for this
vehicle? As far as I can see it seems like 04/05 are
it but I wanted to be sure.

Well that’s a whole other question. I don’t know which one it is. I’m having an issue with battery drain and it won’t start. When I try to start it it just makes a loud clicking noise. And my radio has always been dead. I don’t know why. The battery is brand new and I’ve already had my alternator checked and it’s fine.
Do a parasitic draw test before parts are thrown at it. But to answer your question, on the I6 engine, all charging system parts are the same from 02-09. I'd stay away from 02 though, has some unicorn items on it that only 02 had.
