Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Pulled the fuel tank to get to the fuel pump, but not sure how the plastic collar comes off to get to the pump. Can I use a spanner wrench to rotate it CCW to loosen and remove the pump? Does it loosen by rotating it CCW? Thanks.

Yes, you are correct. It looks pretty clean so all you might want to do is lubricate it a little. If it's hard to start turning, gently apply impact to one of those black plastic ribs with a wide blade screw driver and hammer. Gently.

Hey, thanks for responding. I'm trying to take it slowly to avoid damaging the collar. I'll shoot some liquid wrench on it and see it that helps. Any tricks to removing and replacing the fuel pump? This is my first electric remove and replace.
