instrument lights dont work. fuses seem okay

Hi aeizensmits! If the entire panel went down it's a power issue and that means either a fuse went down or the power feed got crimped somehow. Did you do any under the dash work lately? If you are certain on the integrity to the fuse, then run check the integrity of the power feed from the fuse box to the instrument panel. Good luck!

i checked the fuse visually and it looked good. It was in a front end accident about 6 monthes ago, but everything seemed fine! Also the high beams will flash, but they won't come one if I push the lever in. Coincidence, I don't know.

I just changed all the small fuses in my fuse boxes. The problem: Short circuit I caused by having the engine running while tapping into a harness. Result: All fuses were smoked and fuse link intact. The smoked fuses prevented further damage in the fuse box and/or entire car. Unfortunately, the smoked fuses became "dysfunctional." Everything was distorted afterwards: Instrument panel, lights, etc... SOLUTION: Change all small fuses. I'm still checking for damage to bigger fuses/relays. So far the car is back to normal. NOTE: Stealership ready to charge close to $200.00 (Two-hundred $) to inspect the car only. I hope this helps.

NOTE: After short circuit, if instrument panel, etc.. seem to dysfunction and fuses look normal, take 2 to 3 randomly chosen fuses, if they look cloudy/smoked, this cloudy/smoked fuses, even though the internal fuse link is s intact, they are no longer functional. SOLUTION: (1) Fully disconnect the battery and replace all the small fuses. (2) Reconnect battery. (3) Start car normally=Big chance, problem solved. Money saved.
