is it quicker to pull tranny and motor rather than just the motor on a 2005 chevy impala 3.9 V6 ?

So it's hard to say. To pull motor with trans you have to pull axles, and that takes time. But to pull without, you have to separate transaxle. Still guessing. But I lean to pulling both at same time

In 05 it was a 3.4 or 3.8. Chevy didn't offer a 3.9 in the impala in 2005. Pulling both is probably easier on a 3.8. There is little clearance on the right side of the motor to detach in the car. and the axels are not that big of a deal to pull.
