Trunk is not opening

I have Chevy cobalt 2005. The remote
stopped working even after I changed the
battery and the trunk can't be opened with
the key. In the manual it says that there's a
button under the glove  compartment to
open the trunk manually but I couldn't find
any. What should I do?

In my SS it’s a yellow button in the storage compartment to the left of the steering column.
