Camry 2005 brake lights not working!

Hi gurus,

I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas on how to get my brake lights working on my Camry 2005. I noticed a couple of the bulbs needed replacing which I did and all the rear lights work apart from the most important lights for the brakes.

There are fuse boxes on the car but not sure where to check and noticed there is a fuse box on the drivers side and under the hood and not sure
what the difference is between the two.

Can anyone help? I don't really know much about cars being honest.

I have also looked at the manual but the fuse location does not appear in any of the diagrams of the book.

Hey! I know this is a year old but for anyone else wondering, the fuse that needs to be changed for the break lights on a 2005 Toyota Camry is the one to the left of the steering wheel. You’ll need a 15A fuse (around $4 for a pack) and it’s going to be number 47, if you’re looking at the manual. If you don’t have the manual, it’s going to be the very last row of small fuses (before the big one) and the fuse on the farthest left. Finding it in the manual can be a bit weird but it’ll be around p.295, if you have the original manual that came with the car. You can also look in the index and find the guide for the fuse boxes (both the one under the hood & the one by the steering wheel) under the “engine compartment”
