Toyota Camry won't start after replacing thermostat and coil pack

Asked by Apriljh5 Nov 24, 2020 at 12:56 PM about the 2004 Toyota Camry LE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We replaced the thermostat because it was
sticking. We replaced a coil pack because I had an
oil leak from the gasket and oil ran into it. Now it
won't start at all. Also the horn (security system)
keeps going off and lights flashing inside. Any idea
what could be causing this?

Turns out there isn't a security system. No keyless system either. Once you put the key in to try and start it the horn just starts blowing but car won't crank.

Turn key to on, press stereo power, push and hold tuning up and station 1 buttons simultaneously until --- shows up. Enter unlock code by using preset buttons and arrows (can find this by pressing and holding presets 1 and 6 before turning on stereo....will flash 2 2 digit codes) after putting in the code the radio will power off. Turn it back on and then try starting the engine

Might be wired into the stereo, I sent instructions but it says will post shortly, check email
