Although the pcm has reconized a problem the cause could be any number of things. I have a 2001 XLS (bought new) that recently showed the same notifications.i.e. VSC and check engine. I took it to my service man who checked the codes and discovered that it was just a loose gas cap. A lot cheaper to "repair" that a VSC control system module or other hardware. The VSC lights can also indicate problems with the emission control system (perhaps the OXY sensors) or even the cruise control. The best way to tell is to have the codes checked by someone qualified. In 12 years the lights have come on three times and they cause was always something other that a real VSC issue. I am not saying that it can't be a VSC problem only that there could be several other causes. Best to check with your mechanic. Hope this helps
I have a 2012 Toyota Avalon and my traction light is on.
