SUNROOF WON'T CLOSE FLAT

The Sunroof on my 06 Chevy HHR wont close flat as it is
suppose to therefore, it leaks water when it rains and when
I wash it..  What causes this and how do I fix it.

I would clean the rails it slides on and lube them with some silicone spray.
