intermiitent oil light

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

runs well, min oil loss, no overheating, but oil light comes on occassionally. dealer "no problems" approx.
170k miles , auto trans. reg oil chngs c synthetic.

any help appreciated

ILL assume when idling when this light comes on. otherwise it is a problem, Try a heaver oil next change, and maybe a different brand of oil filter
