how do i program a keyless entry fob for a 2006 gran prix

recently bought a used 2006 gran prix, but they did not have the fobs for it, and only one coded key. i have bought 2 new fobs and i have tried to program to the car, but i have been unsucessful , none of the youtube videos helped. can soeone here please tell me how to do this, i just can't see spending $300 for the dealership to do it when it should be a 2 minute job. help.

Well they do want all our mechanic business. Cars use to run great without computers and fobs and were too easy to fix without a dealership. Now we have Mob style protection.
