Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was wondering why would my low oil level light come on when I had the oil
checked and I was told it's new oil and didn't need an oil change

If its your low oil level warning its likely a faulty sensor or wiring going to the sensor. If its your change oil soon light then it probably didn't get reset when you did the oil change. Turn your key to the run position without starting the car. Slowly press the gas pedal all the way to the floor 3 times. Then turn the key off. Then start the car and see if the warning has gone away.

While you are trying to figure this one out, park the car on a level spot, turn off the engine, and let it sit for about a minute. Then read the level on the engine's oil dip stick. If it is in the correct range (between the low and high marks, you are good to go and only have to determine why your light is illuminating.
