overheating

Check coolant level. Usually overheats from not enough coolant. Are the cooling fans coming on? If coolant is full and fans working then possibly a thermostat not opening. if the system hasn't been flushed and pressure tested and new coolant put in it might be time for that, although that wouldn't cause an overheating problem.
