Will changing a spark plug/wire have a chance at fixing a cylinder misfire?

Asked by keak_sneak Jul 22, 2014 at 11:31 AM about the 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix 4 Dr GTP Supercharged Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Code PO303 showed up when I got my oil changed. They said it was a cylinder 3 misfire.
Would changing the spark plug, and wire, maybe fix that? I am in no way able to pay for
someone to diagnose it and fix it, and I can change the plugs/wires myself. So I was
wondering if theres a change it'll fix the misfire, or if I shouldn't waste my time changing
that plug/wire.

Google your car + code P0303 and see what comes up. You'll likely find some additional guidance there.
