No crank no start

2000 pontiac grand am gt wont crank wont start
has power so its not the battery. What could it be

what about a jump start ? did you charge the batt. ? batt terminals are clean and tight ? Headlights nice and bright ? If the batt. is good then it sounds like the starter is bad , you probably have to almost remove it to test it for power so you might as well get new .

There's been a factory recall concerning the ignition switch failing on these cars, for years now!
