2001 lincoln town car fuse has no spade connector

Asked by GuruZV6HS Oct 23, 2017 at 09:33 PM about the 2001 Lincoln Town Car Cartier

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2001 lincoln town car. Fuse 11 which is to the BPP
(BRAKE POSITION SENSOR) doesn't have any
connectors inside to hold a fuse. I removed the
fuse box to check the back side and don't see any
loose or hanging wires. Now the car is stuck in
park and BRAKE lights don't work

you have something shorting out when you when put it back together , it helps to wire a house before you try and wire a vehicle , just to give you an idea .

Nothing is shorting.....Where the fuse plugs into the fuse box there is nothing to hold the fuse in place

I am having the exact same problem! Did, you figure it out?

I did. My owners manual and every diagram I saw online showed the wrong fuse. It was fuse #32 on my town car says it's for the cigar lighters for the back doors for long wheel base only. But once I replaced it everything fixed. GOOD LUCK!

those functions are HAT , hot at all times , cigarette lighter , brake lights , horn , shift solenoid , etc , FYI , even the factory can get it wrong once in a while

"It helps to wire a house before you try to wire a vehicle" how is that in any way helpful??? Neither of your responses had anything to do with the original question. So yea you're just being a smartass
