Help..my 2004 jeep grand Cherokee laredo makes a grinding noise when i stop. The front end brake pads,rotors and even bearings are all brand new! Any suggestions on what else it could be?

It almost sounds like its coming from the middle of the front end and its only when i brake

I was searching around on the Jeep forums and apparently there is a cable to the transfer case that rubs on the drive line. The thread states that if you look under the driver side door you can see a shiny wear spot where the it rubs against the front drive shaft: Check it out... Unfortunately it wasnt the cable.. changed my transfer case fluid today as well.. i will keep eliminating possibilities. ..

My 1999 Jeep Cherokee is doing the same thing and I just had everything changed same as you. kjl108 did you find what the problem was?
