recently changed the right front cv axle for a popping noise....and now I have a grinding noise. Or rather it sounds like something is loosè inside the wheel. Any idea as to what it may be?

Same side as axle replaced? If so double check the work. Also pay close attention to the wheel bearing.

I would need a little more info as to problem. did you fix it yourself, a freind, or reputable mechanic or dealer? if fixed by a reputable mechanic or dealer take it back to them and see what they have to say if fixed by yourself i hope that you did it with the best info avail. to you they now design cars to make sure that the average person cant fix it easy. i would not recommend fixing it yourself unless you have the right info and tools to do the job right because if something happens you live with it. there are many things can be going wrong your cv joint from the trans axle to the wheel hub i wish you the best. i dont think there is simple answer over the internet with out seeng what is actually going on. i hope that this might help you come to some resolve
