Truck shuts off

My truck starts and shuts off like it is out of fuel.
But there is 18 gallons of gas in it. Changed the
fuel regulater and still does it. I can't hear fuel
pump. And wanted to know if it might b something
other than fuel pump.

could be the sending unit , which is on the pump , make sure the pump has a good ground and power at the disconnect , check fuel pressure some vehicles are particular and just having it won't do , check for spark when it dies
