dodge ram van oil pressure dropping suddenly

When I am driving the oil pressure will suddenly drop and the van will shut off
when I am braking. what could be causing this?

Tired oil pump, worn out engine, vacuum booster dumping all the vacuum at once overcoming the already worn out engine.

It's likely a defective brake vacuum booster. It's linked to manifold vacuum and when you lose manifold vacuum, the engine shuts off or acts like it's really starved of fuel and barely runs.
