Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got stuck in the mud, and ever since I got out, my advance traction turns off and my 4X4 High light flashes on and off

Also, my ABS light came on and stayed on. A friend told me to disconnect the battery and reconnect it. This didn't help "reset" anything. When I first start up the truck, the Advanced Traction control is on, but as soon as I go forward, there is a grinding noise in the front end, the truck is sluggish to move forward, the Advance Traction Off light comes on, then it goes forward. But, after a while, the 4X4 High light starts flashing on and off.

Is this expensive to have corrected. I’m afraid to pullout in traffic as the explorer Boggs down and bucks and jumps with grinding noise. A friend loaned me the vehicle. Need help.
