4x4 conversion

So I have a 2005 chevy silverado 2wd, its close to
payed off. I am wanting to make it 4wd. I have a 93
gmc yukon the motor needs head gaskets but
tranny n t case are there with what parts I think I
would need. My question is will the trans case and
tranny fit the 05 motor and bolt up? I understand I
have to cut a arms n all the front suspension out.
Would really like to be able to use the yukon parts
because there free I alredy have them. Thanks in
advance. My truck is 5.3 also.

The conversion will cost you a ton and endless headaches and won't be as good as a factory 4x4 when you are done. Sell the 2wd and buy a good used 4x4 is my advice.

The trans won't work, it's not compatable with your computer. Also the front of a 4x4 and 2wd are totally different down to the frame. Not to mention you have 2 different trucks entirely. The only thing you can carry over from the 93 are the Wheels and tires. Your better off solid axle swapping it.
