truck has trouble starting
1993 Silverado. Summer of 2020 I had a new fuel pump installed, which
may or may not be relevant. Two weeks later, when I went to put in gas, the
pump stopped after about a gallon. Tried again, cut off after 1/4 gallon.
Someone said that sounds like a vapor canister. The real problem is that,
when I try to start it, it turns over just fine but doesn't start. I turn off the key
and try again. Eventually, third, fifth, seventh try or whenever, it starts. Once
it starts, it runs just fine. It sounds to me like fuel is having trouble getting to
the engine to start it, but once it's running, it's fine.
Where should I start in trying to fix it? It's not the starter, alternator or
battery.
