WD-40 is definitely useful here. 2007s & newer Wranglers have caps that screw into the bottom of the hinge to secure the doors. If you don't replace them at the end of the season, the doors may open unevenly over the course of the fall, winter, & spring and water can more easily get inside of the hinge causing rust. After spraying WD-40 directly into the hinge, you will need to lift the door with some force while swinging it in an opening and closing motion.

Make sure the doors pin retaining screws, which look more like the head of a bolt with a torx socket. have been removed. Often and common issue with removing the doors multiple of times, the inner bushing may wear out bind within the hinge socket. Also with the constant removal of the doors without proper precautions, moisture can enter the hinged sockets thus causing rust or oxidization within the hinge socket. Care must be taken when removing and reinstalling the doors. Also there is a technique to removing the doors and the doors must reach an angle of about 45 degrees in order to left out. But again if the hinge sockets have deformed bushings or rust build up. Removing doors would be extremely difficult.
