My 2007 Camry xle is making a whirring noise when the air conditioner is on. What is this?

You might want to just double check this noise by doing this. Have someone turn the AC on and off several times while you open the hood and look around. Can you pinpoint the noise or is the noise coming from INSIDE the vehicle?

OK....it appears this noise may be the blower motor. If you change blower speeds, does the noise change? Also, when was the Cabin Filter last changed?

Sorry to jump on this old thread but what if it makes the noise and shuts the car off if not on the accelerator
