shortage in dash panel

my 1984 corvette has a shortage in the inside panel. When I go over a bump the radio and panel lights go out. Sometimes they come back on. Sometimes they want come on when I start up the car.I can't find the fuse box to check for a loose fuse. any ideas?

I would not think that it's a loose fuse, however that fuse box is on the passenger side of the car facing the door. I would expect that you have a bare wire dangling and touching metal to create the short.
The 1984 corvettes have a lot of electrical things that do not make scence, but sometimes just the simpliest of solutions are just the right thing to do. Pull your console apart and disconnect each wire conection, clean these conections, put them back together in the right places. this is the solution to many problems in electical curcits in a corvette. Because of its age the wireing in the interiour, gets a lot of coroision at all of the conections. This will clear that situation for the next few years.
Thinks for your help. I'll be using this info to get my car in the best working and running order possible. IT will take awhile,but I hope in the near future I will have this car in original condition.
