Why are my brakes seizing up?

Asked by Keith Mar 12, 2020 at 06:52 PM about the 2007 Lexus GS 350 AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Change rotors and brakes all the way around, end up changing a caliper on
drivers side rear but all of a sudden when putting it in drive or reverse. The car
wheels are dragging like something is holding it. Checked spin seems very hard
when jacked up.  Bleed brakes, that seem to loosen them.  Tried driving again
and the same thing?  What did I do if it was working fine before?

It is a known defect by Lexus but still not covered as a recall/safety issue. which they are generally able to correct by removing and relubricating the slides
