95 2.3 Ford ranger

Runs great then it acts like
loosing power I let up and runs
good I cut switch off and on and
it runs like it should then it starts
again I repeat cutting the switch
on and off it runs great it's like I'm
resetting something any idea

How long since a tune up? Any applicable trouble codes? The basics for a problem at higher rpms, check for blockage of some kind, the first two things I think of are fuel and exhaust. A dirty air filter will do the same thing.
