Sugar in the gas tank
Me and the last split up couple weeks ago
hopped in the car to go somewhere got like
a block down the road and I realized tire was
popped and it was driving like sh*t look it
the gas compartment... Sugar what should I
do

Since gasoline is 10 percent ethanol (alcohol ) I'm pretty sure it will desoleve sugar
Do this only if your insurance won't cover vandalism or you can't afford to take it to a garage //// Disconnect the fuel line going to the engine ,,, connect a piece of flexible gas line to the tubing and the other end into an empty gas can.. turn the key on but don't start ... gas will flow into the gas can (make sure it doesn't overflow) .. keep doing it until the tank is empty. ... Get a large bucket and put the hose from the gas can to the bucket..... put a water hose into the gas tank ... and fill the tank about 1/4 ...run the pump until the gas tank is empty ,, reconnect the gas line to the engine now refill your tank with fresh fuel in addition with dry gas or any other water eliminator. Dispose of the bad fuel using the proper method in your county
Looks like "olds403" is pretty sure. Perhaps he is a chemist or played one on TV. Change the fuel first to see what happens. If it still doesn't run correctly pump the fuel out of the tank, change the filter again and add fresh gasoline.
Thank you for that link Bob .. I was also under that assumption .. never to old to dispel an old myth
Well, I forgot to mention that the filter screen located at the bottom of the fuel pump inside the fuel tank could get clogged with granules of sugar thus requiring removal of the fuel tank and cleaning. The link states it pretty well I think.
