cigarette lighter fuse blows with the lighter disconnected, help.

The lighter was disconnected and removed but it still blows the fuse ,

you need to check and see if that fuse only controls the lighter or multiple functions.you have a short on your wires.trace your fuse.

I have a chilton manual but can't find the wire diagram . I think its just the lighter and the aux plug for phone chargers.
