Cricket like noise from frontend

Asked by GuruFFT7W May 04, 2020 at 10:45 AM about the Audi A3 Sportback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Got a cricket like noise from the frontend only
when driving under hard ish acceleration then goes
away when cruising, no noise when stationery
revving up, timing belt done about 20000 ago
Car has 100000 miles
Hard to pin point where noise is coming from as
got to be moving to be able to hear

1 Answer

It's had the serpentine belt done not long ago, also if it was the belt wouldn't it be noisy when stationary?
