Rear turn signal not working, replaced bulb and still nothing?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Sebring convertible with 2.7 liter engine.  About a week ago my right turn signal started flashing quickly, so of course I assumed it was a bulb issue.  It is the rear right that won't turn on, so I replaced the bulb....still flashing and turn signal not working.  So to ensure that the bulb I purchased was good I tired it in the left side and it works fine.  So not sure if I have a short or some other problem I'm overlooking.  Thank in advance.

It's just the rear turn signal, the front works but is flashing quickly.

Are the rear turn signals separately fused from the front?

Did you ever get a solution to this problem, My 04 Sebring conv. Is doing the exact sake thing. No power to the bulb. I have no power at the bulb.

My mechanic diagnosed the condition as the socket was no longer grounded. Had to weld the ground wire to the frame, now works fine.
