Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, i have replaced my rear brake shoes. i would like to adjust the hand brake lever but it comes up to high. i am aware of the adjustment at the handbrake lever but there is no more thread left to do so.
Is there another adjustment somewhere else perhaps?
Thanks in advance
Brandon.

Release your hand brake adjustment completely. With the rear brake drums in place, apply the foot brakes a few times till the brake pedal is up and the correct position. The auto adjust on the brake shoes should adjust the shoes correctly, then adjust the hand brake cable on the hand brake lever
