can i fit a ford intertia switch to my classic mini?? i know i could fit one, but my questiion is will it be suitable as the mini has a much firmer ride that any ford i can think of and i dont want to inadvertantly trigger the switch during normal driving.

Yes, all fords have one I go off roading in my 99 f250 and it won't trigger. It is side to side shock that it will sense not up and down.

it should be fine as long as it is mounted correctly. It does take quite an impact to set it off.
