nissan builds datsun. it's like a gmc vs. a chevy. same car, different sticker

nissan was the industrial line-up mostly trucks, datsun was the name given to the cars

Datsun was made by the company Nissan. They changed the name from Datsun to Nissan in 1982-84. Se - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datsun And, the 280ZX was made from 1979 to 1983, and was named Datsun all the time, when the 300ZX came in 1984, it was names Nissan.
