how do you tow an 05 gmc crew cab canyon behind an rv

I want to tow my 05 gmc crew cab canyon behind my rv just using a tow bar that attaches
to the front bumper and need to know how to do it without damaging the automatic
transmission.

http://www.vadengmpp.com/owners-manual/gmc/2005-GMC-Canyon.pdf .........No can do. It will destroy the transmission.

Chapter 4 Page 50: Dinghy Towing Two-Wheel Drive Vehicles Notice: If you tow your vehicle with all four wheels on the ground, the drivetrain components could be damaged. The repairs would not be covered by your warranty. Do not tow your vehicle with all four wheels on the ground. Two-wheel-drive vehicles should not be towed with all four wheels on the ground. Two-wheel-drive transmissions have no provisions for internal lubrication

Then again Chapter 4 Page 51 ...4 wheel drive Canyon's can be Dingy towed....4 wheels on road. I hesitate to dispute the owners manual but if it was mine I would never
