My Chevy Blazer just stopped on me

I was in a minor car accident, my 1998 Chevy Blazer slid off the side of the road into a ditch and I was able to start it up, put it in 4wheel and get out but about 10 minutes down the road the car shut off and wouldn't even start we tried jumping it but nothing worked. This is my first car and I have no idea what to do

Check your battery cable connections and alternator belt. They could have became loose during the accident.
