2008 Ford Focus Automatic Transmission will not engage drive or reverse

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an '08 Ford Focus with about 140k miles on it. 3 months ago the
reverse went out and I had the reverse clutch drum rebuilt -- from then on
there were no issues. About a week ago it started having trouble shifting up
when I would accelerate. Then the other day it began dropping in and out of
gear as I was driving down the road. Made it to the house and parked it.
Now there it will not engage into any gear; drive, reverse, low, etc. will not
engage. The car starts and seems fine until you go to put it in gear -- then
you are left just sitting there like you were still in neutral.

Thanks for stating the obvious. I was looking for more of an actual answer to what could be the issue. It seems like maybe a throttle body problem or something else other than the reverse clutch drum its self, seen as how it is all gears that are not engaging now.
