how to remove & replace ac compressor

If you have never done this type or repair, I would recommend taking it to a repair shop. The replacement of the compressor is a matter of nuts, bolts and hoses. The trouble is getting the system evacuated, cleaned and re-charged. This is not an easy in the driveway repair in my opinion.
