You have to lift the front edge of the seat bottom (each side is separate), and pull it forward. It will "pivot" forward and down, onto the floor. Once the seat bottoms are moved, you can then fold the seat backs forward and down, creating a nearly flat rear deck. The 2nd row seats have released on the sides of each seat back (60/40 split), that allows the seat back to fold forward and down onto the seat bottom. You can leave it in this position, or continue to tilt the entire seat forward, which places the back of the seat back, up against the driver or passenger front row seat backs. - If you fold the 2nd row "flat" and then the 3rd row flat, you should have hinged panels that can flip forward from the 3rd row over the gap onto the 2nd row seats. This again creates a fairly flat deck, with a slight incline as you get towards the front of the 2nd row seats. - Hope this helps.
