I would definitely not self-diagnose the problem with such little troubleshooting... It could be plenty of things! In which way would it not start? You would turn the key and nothing would happen, or it would crank and not turn over?

you say it won't go in park ? you know it has to be in park to start, lol , if this is the case you might have a broken motor mount ...............

I had the exact same problem which turned out to be a cheap fix. I love my SSR but it seems that when it was designed the been counters at GM neede to throw some cheapo parts in to make sure they would get repair money. The transmission linkage attaches to the trans shifter via a plastic piece that which breaks down over time so the linkage rod flops around. When this happens the shifter locks up I am guessing to prevent damage to the transmission.. Remove the linkage rod and go to the auto parts store. If the don't have the specific piece the usually have a a grab bag of different GM pieces for different GM transmissions. Crawl under the car. Remove the broken piece and pop in the new one. Line up the linkage rod and move the trans shifter till it aligns with the rod then push the rod in place. Total cost. Between 10 and fifteen bucks. If you have to buy the grab bag you will have parts left over you will never use put so what. Toss them in the trash. Depending on how long you keep your SSR the problem will arise again. If you want a one and done solution and have some skill; SIMPLE ENGINEERING, a company run by a very knowledgable man named Mike has a repair for the problem that is permanent but requires cutting and drilling. The kit runs about $45 plus shipping but renders this GM design blunder a non issue for the life of the vehicle. He also specializes in SSR parts and fixes. Like a backing for the cheap ass hood badge that will snap off if you or someone else grabs it to raise the hood. It's about $125.00 but that is cheap insurance since they run over $200.00 to replace. Good luck!
