2005 Chevy Cobalt acting like its going to die while slowing down or stopping

Asked by rkyoung2006 Sep 16, 2013 at 04:39 PM about the 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Every time we go to stop or slow down in my car it starts "jumping" like it wants to die. It
has died twice. It doesnt do it when speeding up, just coming to a stop. What could this
be?

1 Answer

Do you have any check engine light on? If you do I would start there. If not i would change the fuel filter and and a fuel cleaner in the gas thank to see if it makes a difference. My guesses is that your fuel injectors are dirty. It's not getting enough fuel. Good luck
