Asked by Chase Nov 17, 2018 at 07:36 PM about the 1985 Nissan 300ZX

Question type: Car Customization

I have a couple of old turbos off a 5.9 cummins
(hx35) my buddy has a 300 zx he wants to make in
to a project (drift/track car) rebuild kit is only like
65$ and 75 for a new stock compressor wheel or i
could buy a a.m. for quicker spool cause i doubt id
need more boost than the stock p.s.i. for the car.
How much p.s.i. befor it blows?

I would not put more than 4 psi on a stock engine. If it is a turbo car you might be able to go a couple of psi higher than stock. Do you want fast or reliable?
