How to drain gas?

Hi. I was just wondering how to drain 10 year old gas out of a beetle, as I'm trying to get one going.

take out tank and clean it out ,10 year old gas is like thick varnish. in my experince,change gas tanks quite simple job ,may as well run new gas line to. take off carb. and a simple rebuilde,it is verry easy.good luck.
